An error occurred while saving the comment Once NSW Government decides what it wants to do with the old aquarium building then Council can proceed with its feasibility study for this great project idea!
An error occurred while saving the comment With the SeaLife Aquarium now closed it's time to review the possiblity of reinstating a boardwalk and Harbour pool!

Thanks Dave. I'm old enough to remember the original pool too! Glad to hear it would benefit the marine life too. Sounds like a good idea to me! What do others think?

I remember there used to be a boardwalk there ... its return would be a great tourist attraction and as long as it is thoughtfully done as far as construction goes would benefit the marine environment immensley ... protecting seagrass from the ever present vessels that anchor there, for starters.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks Wayne for bringing this to my attention. I'll follow up with Council staff and see if we can locate the report by Professor Lawrence Nield. regards Candy

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, this certainly has become an issue. The owners pay the rates and therefore as ratepayers they get the parking permits which they should pass onto their tenants!
Agree, it needs review and could be a good election issue - as does all things to do with parking in Manly.

An error occurred while saving the comment Things seem to have gone quiet again. Last I heard the owner of the Collaroy Cinema was wanting to take over but the owner, who lives in Hong Kong, is impossible to contact. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything further

An error occurred while saving the comment Good news! After a clever Facebook campaign called 'Troy The Trolley' showing trolleys abandoned in various places around Manly, Good For Manly was successful in getting a commitment from Coles to increase their street trolley collections from 3 to 5 times weekly.

An error occurred while saving the comment Manly Councillors are also kept in the dark about most things too! Disgraceful. After months of asking, we have been able to find out recently that the Kenneth Road works cost $122,000. This parking 'solution' still remains highly unsafe in my opinion. 30 degrees rear to kerb parking? Not easy on a busy road.

An error occurred while saving the comment Good question. The current situation is that the Cricket will be moved to Graham's Reserve. Council has removed commercial dog walkers from this reserve but not personal dog owners. The recent outcry has resulted in Council agreeing to look at another fenced area for dogs - perhaps Manly West Park, but obviously this won't happen overnight. As for the Oval carpark, the plan still remains a complete dud in my opinion and Good For Manly will continue to fight to stop it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for putting up the change.org petition. I agree this is a terrible idea. Unfortunately the Council is committed to the Corso location this year but let's work to ensure we get our old venue back for next year.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sadly yes. The DA includes redeveloping the whole site, including the existing Telstra building, into shops and apartments. The park area, which is owned by Telstra, will go under this proposal.

An error occurred while saving the comment I totally agree with greening old carpark. Have you seen our Good for Manly alternative plan?

An error occurred while saving the comment I love this idea Charles! And with so many wonderful cultures in Manly it's the sort of thing that could just evolve.

An error occurred while saving the comment I agree Deborah. The 2015 Plan seems to have a lot of question marks and the proposed exit and entry points are proving to be totally unworkable.

It is indeed possible as Good for Manly proposed this some years ago. The Council has included this for investigation in its current place plan so it will eventually happen - funding is the main issue. Candy Bingham
